The conference will be held at Evian, France – VVF Les rives du lac. You will find numerous usefull information concerning the place here.
The town of Evian is located on lake front of lake Leman in the northern French Alps, in front of Lausanne, at 50km north-north-east of Geneva and 110km from Chamonix. Evian is known worldwide as a spa town and for its mineral water Evian.

The VVF is a vacation center and does not run exactly as an Hotel.
– For arrival on the 24 September:
The VVF reception will be open from 14h to 20h for your key reception.
If you expect to arrive after 20h please inform us by email at conf-iccocm@listes-simap.grenoble-inp.fr and give us your approximate arrival time.
We will give you then the instructions how to get your keys.
– For arrival other days :
The VVF reception is open in the afternoon 17h to 20h.
If you expect to arrive outside these hours, please sent us an email with your approximate arrival time so that we can arrange your key pick-up.
Weather:The temperature should in principle be still confortable , 20-25 °C during the day and cooler at night (10-15)
On site facilities: You will find on site an indoor heated swimming pool. The lac Leman is within 5 mn walk and its temperature should be still OK for swimming (around 19°C). WIFI: WIFI connection is unfortunately only available in common parts (conference room, bar, lunch-dining room) but not in the rooms. For those not leaving in Europe we strongly recommend to look for a temporary phone sim card or European subscription extension to use your phone.
Dress code: Casual informal.
It can be easily reached either by plane from Geneva airport or by train at Evian les bains main railway station
BY PLANE
Geneva Airport is 1 hour drive from Evian. From geneva airport you can reach Evian by train. Please check the schedule at the following address : https://www.sbb.ch/en

BY TRAIN
One can travel from Geneva to Evian les bains by train. Few trains are direct others need a change at Annemasse. You can check the schedule at the following address : LemanExpress
Here are the timetable (in french).
Arrival the sunday : The sunday 24 September from 13h30 to 19h30 a small shuttle bus will be available to drive the participants from the railway station to the conference site.
Arrival an other day (or out of the schedule above): The railway station is at proximity of the conference site. 30min by foot or 10 min by regular local bus or taxi. For the regular local bus, you have wo solutions :
- from train station regular bus line n°2 direction Maxilly sur Leman Petite Rive stop Village Vacance. No bus n°2 the sunday.
- from train station : 2 mn walk to Anna de Noailles bus stop. Then bus line n°10 direction Saint Gingolph Rue Nationale to VVF bus stop.

For departure on the 29 September we will arrange two buses to reach the Evian les bains Railway station:
One leaving at 14h (train at 14h21 to Geneva), and 15h (train leaving at 15h21 for Geneva)
If you plan to use one of this bus thanks to fill the survey which has been sent to you by e-mail (15th september) so that the bus size is calibrated accordingly.
BY TRAIN & BOAT
Reach Lausanne by fast train (from Paris or Germany) and then pick up the boat (Timetable available here). The arrival at Evian is at 10 mn walk from the conference center.
